Fortunately, creating a new password directly from your iPhone has never been simpler. You can really create a secure password quickly in two different methods.
Last year, iOS 18 introduced the new Passwords app, which eliminates the need for a third-party password manager for many iPhone users and makes setting and preserving passwords a cinch. Although the Passwords app is user-friendly and has a good number of features, what if you’re still using an outdated iPhone that isn’t iOS 18 compatible? You still have alternatives, so don’t stress.

How to use Apple’s Passwords app to create a password
The Passwords app can be all you need if you have iOS or iPadOS 18 installed and just want a simple, quick method to create a safe password on the spot. Here’s the method.
Launch the Passwords application.
In the lower right corner of the screen, tap the plus icon.
Tap the Password box, not the Password label, as if you were about to write one in, ignoring the Website or Label and User Name parts.
Just above your keyboard, a little “Strong Password Suggestion” will show up. You may copy the password idea and use it wherever you want by tapping on it to add it to the password area.

If you choose to save these credentials rather than only establish a password, you may include a website or label, username, and any remarks. Simply press on any other text input area, such as User or Notes, and then hit the password field once again to get another password recommendation.

How to use a Siri shortcut to create safe passwords
Download the Generate Password shortcut to your iPhone by clicking the link below. To download the shortcut to your phone, hit Add Shortcut after being immediately redirected to the Shortcuts app. After that, the Generate Password shortcut will show up in your shortcut collection.

Using your iPhone password generator whenever you want
After installing the shortcut, you may use Generate Password to rapidly generate 20-character passwords that follow Apple’s format, which consists of two hyphens, a capital letter, and a number (“fevNaq-1zumki-gorfoc” is an example).
You may use Generate Password in a number of ways:
To activate Siri, say “Hey Siri, Generate Password.”
Spreadsheet: In Safari or another browser, hit the share sheet, then scroll down and choose Generate Password.
Quick cuts: In the Shortcuts app, tap the Generate Password shortcut.
Reverse Tap: Navigate to Settings > Touch > Back > Accessibility. Select the Generate Password shortcut by tapping. The shortcut may then be launched by tapping the back of your iPhone.
You will be prompted to provide the shortcut access to your clipboard when you launch Generate Password for the first time. To do so, press Allow. A password will then be generated and immediately transferred to your clipboard each time you use Generate Password. Additionally, a notice displaying the password will appear. When you’re done, click Done.

Make careful to use the password very fast since it will expire from your clipboard in ten minutes. If not, you will have to create a new one. You may paste the password from your clipboard by pressing down in any text field.
