It’s not always easy to deal with subscriptions. Whether you’re paying for many streaming services or applications that you use often on your phone, it’s never enjoyable to be nickel and dimed. Even worse is having to find out where all of your monthly money is going since you start to completely forget what you’re enrolled to. It should soon be simpler than ever to terminate a membership that you no longer need, owing to a new Federal Trade Commission “click to cancel” regulation. The regulation won’t take effect right away, which is terrible news.
Start keeping note of all the subscriptions you now use and which ones you may terminate in the meantime. Your budget may be severely impacted if you have many streaming services, such as Netflix, Spotify, Disney Plus, or Amazon Prime, or if you use mobile protection services, such as AppleCare.
Whether you’re using Google Play on Android or the Apple Store on your iPhone, we’ll walk you through the process of finding all the monthly services you’re paying for on your mobile device and how to stop using the ones you don’t need.

On your iPhone, locate and terminate your subscriptions.
There are a few locations on your iPhone where you can locate all of your monthly subscriptions from the Apple Store, but the settings are the most convenient. Open the Settings app, touch your name at the top, and then choose Subscriptions in the first section to do this. All of the subscriptions you have signed up for, both active and inactive, for applications you downloaded from the App Store are listed here.

Your subscriptions are now accessible via the App Store app.
All of the subscriptions you are presently paying for are shown under Active, along with the name of the app or service, a brief description, the date of your next payment, and the cost. Tap on the subscription, choose the red Cancel Subscription option at the bottom of the page, and then select Confirm in the pop-up window that displays to end an active membership.
Using the iPhone to terminate a subscription
If you decide to cancel, you’ll be informed of how long you’ll have access to the premium service.
You may continue to use the premium services for the majority of subscriptions until the conclusion of your paying cycle. You will need to read the small print to find out what happens if you cancel since certain applications will not allow you to continue using the service. The subscription will stay in the active area after cancellation, but it will indicate when it is about to expire in red letters.
On your Android device, locate and terminate your subscriptions.
In contrast to iOS, Android is compatible with a wide range of smartphones, including Samsung, Google, and Motorola. Fortunately, all of these Android versions have access to the Google Play Store, so it’s easy to identify and cancel your monthly subscriptions on any phone.
Open the Play Store app, press your profile image or first name initial that shows up in the top-right corner, then choose Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions to see all of your subscriptions. A list of your current and inactive subscriptions may be seen here.

The date of your subsequent payment will shown on each subscription.
Press the green Cancel subscription icon after tapping the subscription to end it. The Play Store can request that you look into alternative, less expensive subscriptions and provide a justification for your cancellation. Until a completely green Cancel subscription button appears, follow all instructions to proceed. You should still be able to view it until the end of your monthly period, but hitting it will terminate your membership.
