Adding GIFs to TikTok’s green screen effect is now possible. This is how

On Thursday, TikTok revealed a few new capabilities, one of which is the ability to include GIFs into its green screen effect. This implies that while you are filming a video, you may practically show a GIF behind you rather than simply a static picture. Additional enhancements include additional musical and animal voice sounds, better resolution uploads, and a visual enhancement tool to combine color correction and increase exposure.

The green screen effect in the app is quite well-liked. By posting pictures of diverse places, people, and environments, creators have used it to build the mood for a variety of movies. That may give a joke more depth or give sketches a somewhat more genuine sense. Users may now enhance their masterpieces by adding GIFs, or moving pictures, behind them.

Here’s how you use the green screen effect on TikTok to add GIFs:

To make a new video, launch the TikTok app and choose the plus (+) symbol at the bottom of the screen.
There is a button labeled “Effects” in the bottom left of the screen. Click on that.
Choose the green screen effect under the Trending tab. With a white descending arrow beneath, it seems to be a picture of hills and the sun on a green backdrop. (Go to the Green Screen tab to locate it if you don’t see it there.)
A bar with pictures from your gallery, a GIPHY emblem, and a plus sign to the left will appear when you touch on the green screen effect. Press the GIPHY symbol.
You may now look for GIFs on GIPHY to use in the green screen of your film.

Additional updates

Other TikTok enhancements, like the new visual enhancement option that fixes any lighting or color problems in your films, are also intended to boost user-generated content. Tap the Enhance button on the right panel of the screen after recording or uploading a video to TikTok to give it a try. Click it once more to reverse the effect.

Another new function allows you to make any speech or sound in a video sound like a musical instrument or animal, such as a flute’s piping or a cat’s meow. Record your video, then choose Voice Effects from the right panel on the editing screen to activate the function. After that, you may choose the effect you want.

Finally, TikTokers in “selected countries” are now able to post 1080p movies. To do this, record or submit your video to TikTok, then choose More choices from the publication page. To publish material of greater quality, use the Upload HD option.
